Catch Up

Oh my goodness how has it been two weeks since my last post?

I'm still excited by this

I will tell you how.  After the lesson the above picture was from I had 4 days until a dressage show with Prisoner and Gunner.

Isn't he just the best?

When Gunner behaves he doesn't look bad either

Prisoner did pretty well in First level 2 and 3 earning a respectable 62.8 and 60.8.  Gunner on the other hand earned everything from 7.5s to 2s because he decided the canter was for bucking in and the judge's booth was for spooking at.  That evening I flew to Phoenix so that I could help the hubby pack up and come home!

Yeah call me crazy, but I love my life.  Sunday we ran a horse and packed. Monday I ran to the tack store and we finished packing. Tuesday we hit the road at 4:30am and drove home to Idaho, arriving around 10pm.

Such beauty

Such beauty

Usually I drive through Nevada in the winter when it is brown and dead, turns out it is really quite beautiful in the spring!  I took a bunch of pictures on the drive, I thought I would make a whole post with them.  You are probably wondering if I got anything at the tack store???  Yes, yes I did.  Slider's owner actually told me after my first world problems whine about my boots looking dated that she was on board for helping contribute to a new pair of boots (Thank you!), we can't be looking like Idaho bumpkins when we arrive in Kentucky after all.  So I was on the hunt.  The problem with being 5'3.5" and wearing size 10 shoes is that stock boots almost never fit.  I found a winner though!  The Horze Crescendo dress boot.  They have all sorts of neat details and were a great price.  After I've worn them for a while I will do a review, but so far they are pretty great!

Ooo la la!

I am headed to another lesson with Slider this evening, can't wait to report back!
